Copenhagen Away

atmosphere was very flat in our end. i saw a city fan on ian cheesemans vlog saying that they didn't recognise anyone in our end. hopefully Dortmund atmosphere will be better. see you in germany blues
Ive been told that our away end had a number of Danish (and other) City fans in it. I wondered how so many away fans had gone over there when everyone is skint, never seen a City away section in Europe have so many fans, but we didn’t travel over there in such numbers as there were a few locals.

There may well have been some Danish fans in our end but i thought our end was the same old faces you usually get at away games.

Still over here but flying back at lunchtime today.
Had a cracking trip & really enjoyed it over here. Visited Tivoli Gardens yesterday after it reopened for the Halloween season & it was superb. Puts the majority of UK theme parks to shame!

We have a reasonable following in Dansk.

My best mate is English and was a S/T holders before moving over there to be with his adult daughter, he went with his son-in-law (he met my mates daughter when they hugged in the sports bar when Kun scored 'that goal ').

Both get over here on average once a season to watch us too.

Got back last night.

One of the best European away trips I’ve done. Bar the high price of everything in Copenhagen, which you absorb, the city and the people are wonderful. I honestly can’t fault anything about Copenhagen or the people. I would definitely do Copenhagen again. I’m starting to save now. :-)

Our support was mostly made up of FOCs, Scandinavians, and a fair few tourists. It was a proper mixed bag.

There was a lad in front of me wearing an Argentina shirt.

And a lad to the left of me wearing a club shirt, white with a red sash.

The white shirt with a red sash looks like a River Plate shirt. Might be one of the blokes I spoke to on the concourse before kick-off. Both Argentinian lads living in Copenhagen who had come along to see Alvarez I think. Told them I'd like to do a River-Boca derby match and they said I simply have to go for the atmosphere.

River Plate is the club side (where Alvarez came from). I saw a few people wearing them. Alvarez's family and friends were at West Ham away and a couple of them were wearing River Plate stuff, so thought it might be some of his mates. Perhaps as @M18CTID suggests they were just River Plate fans based in Copenhagen.

There were lots of foreign fans in our end, but the alternative was our end would be half empty, so I think its preferable. I feel a lot of them may have been there to see Haaland rather than any side so they may have left disappointed, but it went on general sale (I think), so its not like they got the tickets at the expense of a regular match go-er. I dont see an issue in this situation.

Could be the same at Dortmund as there won't be 4k regulars going.
