Coppell does it again!!!!

Gutless f*cker, no time for him.
His decision was made months ago, regardless of whether Reading got promoted or not, and was in the public domain at least 3 weeks ago.

You can say what you want about his time at City but he hasn't been at all gutless this time around.

Well seeing he's been readings most successful manager in recent years, stuck with them since 2003 and worked his arse off to get success for them and the town, hes hardly spineless. What happened at city was years ago, give the guy his due and recognise the fact he did a great job at a team where his chairman isn't happy to spend much money. He did a great job and whoever takes over will have a job on their hands to follow some of the success he gave them

Some of the signing he has made was great. Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle for under £250,000 now if they are to sell them they could get well over £5 million for each player. They are truely fucked now all there better players will leave now for priemier league teams now.

In the interview after the match he made it pretty clear by his non-commital responses to questions about next season that he was about to resign.

He is a decent manager, but wasn't up for the challenge at City at the time.

Hughes or Coppell? I know who I'd rather have......

paul gallagher the fat brother from oasis (not the famous one) told me noel had had it from inside the club that coppell left becuase franny was trying to buy the players for him - ok when ball was there and lee bought kinkladze - but coppell was his own man

coppell wanted the watford keeper at the time - maybe maik taylor ? / - lee wanted schwarzer from boro as he had done a deal with schwarzer's agent

fee for kinky was £2m yet we only paid £250k for him ???

I think it was as simple as Lee lied to him, as events after proved we didn't happen to be in as good shape as we thought at the time(and I for one thought we had reached the lowest point!). As for him leaving Reading, dislike Reading and don't really like Coppell as a manger, so all in all last night was a good night ;-))

Can you give us a timescale in which you expect your predictions to happen please? I'm afraid you've been rather vague on the matter!

:-)

Always said he was leaving at the end of this season so he's barely "spineless" in Readings case. Our case? I believe he just wasn't up for it at that momment in time, too bigger job.
