His decision was made months ago, regardless of whether Reading got promoted or not, and was in the public domain at least 3 weeks ago.

You can say what you want about his time at City but he hasn't been at all gutless this time around.

What happened at city was years ago, give the guy his due and recognise the fact he did a great job at a team where his chairman isn't happy to spend much money. I think it was as simple as Lee lied to him, as events after proved we didn't happen to be in as good shape as we thought at the time(and I for one thought we had reached the lowest point!). As for him leaving Reading, dislike Reading and don't really like Coppell as a manger, so all in all last night was a good night ;-))
