Corners

Our corners are a great chance to counter attack us.

Our throw-ins we may as well just let the other team take them it'll save a few seconds as we never win the second ball even if we fluke the first.

The entire team ethos is just lack luster with no planning. It's almost as though the team are sent out with no real tactics or plans and we just hope for a mistake or a bit of individual brilliance.

The jokers in charge of the team are charlatans.

It certainly seems that way. Generally Its been a very underwhelming season.

We should decline taking any corners and give the ball to opposition for goal kick. If they force us we should just kick the ball out so it is a goal kick. I think this is the best strategy until we have a coach who can direct the team how they are taken also this would avoid getting caught in counter-attacks.

Being a City fan feels like Aston Villa fan - they have very similar record against top 8 teams in the league.

I'm sure I've seen on here somewhere that we have scored the most goals from corners and had the most shots/ goals from outside the area.
Maybe it was Manuel who posted it.

Just show's that we do almost fuck all in training. No specifics or eye for detail.

Whatever happened to the in-swinging corner.

This!! It pisses me off how we have Silva & Sterling on the wrong sides ballooning outswinging corners to nowhere when they should swap sides and whip in inswingers. But again, common sense evades those in control.

This is one of the biggest annoyances, 95% of the time they are out swingers, same runs by all the players.

Against Swansea at home, Bony scored from an in swinging corner.... I genuinely think we then went 35 + corners in the next how many games before we had another in swinging corner (I'll be honest I lost count & the in swinger caught me by surprise!). Not even in the same game where we had scored did we try the same thing again.

Another sign that we don't practice & plan for corners, Villa away in the cup, we get a corner after 2 minutes (which we scored from indirectly), not one player went over to take it initially, they all just stood about in the box waiting looking at each other, before Delph ran over. 2 Minutes in FFS, I wouldn't mind if we had made changes so the message hadn't been passed on, but they'd just kicked off, either they wasn't listening or there was no instructions pre match (see also the penalty in that game where the wasn't a designated taker!)

Someone above says we do fuck all in training, I tend to think that's right. I know were not going broadcast details but the only thing you ever see of them from training is playing that piggy in the middle game, I'd be amazed if we worked on tactics, free kicks (another area we have not got a clue with, the amount time we pass it short & fuck about with it) etc...

Forgive me if this topic has been raised before....I'd be amazed if it hadn't...

Why, oh why, can we not find anyone to deliver good corner kicks.... OK, I'm used to only getting maybe one (if that) good cross a game from Navas...but when the ball is placed and everyone gets in position ready...why in Hell's name are our players incapable of getting it past the first defender ?

No matter who has tried, Merlin, even King Kev .... can't do it ...

Please, please Pep... Sort this out !
