My health is just about me, I feel I will put myself at increased risk by getting vaccinated, so I am not getting it.

It’s other peoples responsibly to get themselves vaccinated, if they feel they’re at risk.

I’m at more risk of catching covid from someone who has been vaccinated by the look of things, and that’s a risk I’m willing to accept.

I’ll continue to self isolate unless I really want to go somewhere (which has been 4 meals and 2 trips to Alton Towers with kids since this thing started). All you vaccinated people can go out and pass it onto other vaccinated people and blame it on people like me if you want, I’ll stay safe at home thanks.
Serriously, you have more chance of drowning in the bath than dying from being vaccinated.
Delta isn't pleasant for many unvaccinated people under 35. My partners 17 year old son is really struggling with it and he's fit and healthy. I don't think he'll need hospitalisation as he's 8 days in but he is still really poorly.

Birmingham City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is being treated in hospital for coronavirus, the Championship club have confirmed.

The 31-year-old Philippines international recently returned for pre-season training with Birmingham at the end of June but is now being treated in hospital after contracting the virus.

This is just my ignorance showing, but why is one way considered bad and another good?

Because actually getting it risks short and long term health problems. Same with the vaccines but much, much lower chance of complications.

Because one way causes serious illness, death, disruption to healthcare services, long term symptoms, and the other doesn't.
Oh yeah. I was just thinking about the mechanism of becoming immune rather than all of the extra stuff that might go with it.

Isn’t the problem with that that even the double jabbed will get infected, and so will appear on both lines?

Yeah I've thought that when they are trying to calculate the percentage for herd immunity. how to calculate the cross over.

but I guess they will need to go with the ONS's antibody studies for that to be accurate.
