Oh joy.
According to Jeremy Hunt, chairman of the Health Select Committee, the South African variant has taken root in the UK.

I was cold all Weekend but then again my flat is pretty cold.
Yesterday I had more intense shivers a d by early evening I was sat on my sofa in my parka with a blanket....felt like a really heavy cold but then fly like symptoms initially but then descended into delirium as the night wore on.
Awful nights sleep with temperature and throbbing head and eyes.
Convinced I have covid so heading for a test shortly.
Real bummer as im a runner, eat healthily & take vit d daily (as I’ve done for years).

But I’ve heard lots of stories like this with people even younger getting it (im
47).
Chastising myself...part of me thinks I was run down of late due to poor sleep which comprised my immune system.

Feels like a mix of really bad flu & a heavy cold...
I have mild asthma too which is a slight concern but I hate feeling lethargic.
Keep warm. Mine keeps kicking off when I get a bit cold. Run that heating.

Good luck mate. Even if you have it you'll be fine.

Went for a short walk around the block to get some air.

Congrats to Altrincham Market, who have clearly decided to work around the rules and stay open.

Couldn't believe the amount of people all queueing for stalls and vendor trucks serving coffees and sourdough loaves.

All stood chattering away with their £3k French bulldogs and Moncler three quarters.

Scum.

If they’re like my 89 year old father in law, after vaccination they will do things that everyone takes for granted but they have been afraid to do. Form a childcare bubble and see grandchildren, go to the shop, get some exercise.
Mrs and I formed a child care bubble ab initio. Not sure if the both of you can claim child care duties, but hope we can if challenged. We are both over70, so would claim looking after a 1 year old and a 10 year old is onerous for two old codgers. Child care is genuine, both parents still working full time.

Most of the younger and working generation are having to stay in, close businesses, be placed on furlough etc because of these old c*nts. You'd have thought they would follow guidance and stay in doors.

Seen a few about on lone my daily run.
My personal opinion is arseholes come in all shapes, sizes and ages and whilst some people my age are having parties, the older lot are also breaking the rules.

You can't buy a conscience.

That's true.

A lot of people have used common sense, kept distancing, given way etc when out and in supermarkets.

A lot of self entitled twats act as if it's life as normal, blocking pavements having a chin wag etc.

Yes you both can. A childcare bubble is another household who provide informal childcare.

Question. Is it against regs to sit alone or socially distanced on a bench and drink coffee? Derby police say it is. If so, where can you drink a takeaway?

I've received an invitation to participate in the Imperial College antibody survey & I will take part. They send a finger-prick test which you do at home and post back.

Should be interesting as if I have had it then I would have been completely asymptomatic but I was in London for two days stopping in Stratford for the LC Final and it was obviously raging there at that time.
