Nice to wake up and this thread is halfway down the page. Let’s hope for further reductions in cases and deaths and a good end to the week with vaccines. Going a bit stir crazy but determined to follow the rules for another few weeks or months as best as possible and then hopefully have a great summer. The vaccine roll out is something to be incredibly proud of.

The number of daily tests should rocket up soon. Possibly into the millions. My grandson had his first LFT (at school) yesterday. He's another on Friday and presumably another on Monday with his return to school.

Isn't this probably gonna send positive cases skyrocketing too? Could be confusing for a bit.
It could well do with three million pupils being tested twice each this week. Hopefully this will help drive down hospitalisations even if a faster, though.
His mum received his test result through within the hour. Lots of families going into self isolation this week if imagine.

Saudi Arabia's health ministry has ruled that only people who have been vaccinated against covid 19 will be allowed to attend haj this year, Saudi newspaper okaz reported. Interesting..

interesting article of attempts to future proof vaccinations for coronaviruses.

There is a bit about (and a link to a research report) the AZ vaccine apparently only being 10% affective against the South African variant. Is that feasible? It’s from Wired U.K..

Interesting that if you have the NHS app, you can access your medical records. Family members who have had the jab have seen their app update with the vaccine info after a couple of days. Seems to me this would be a quick way to resolving the vaccine passport issue?
