Had the Moderna booster at the Etihad today it was absolutely hammered, had Pfizer for my first 2 no idea why they changed it today but glad they did as the Pfizer queue was round the block whereas Moderna just walked straight through. Got told I had to wait 10 minutes after it just as I had with jab 1 and 2.

1 and only reason I got it is to carry on with my normal life I know absolutely shitloads who have said they wont be having a third jab for a great number of reasons.

There is absolutely no chance on earth ill be vaccinating my 10 and 4 year old daughters though even if this fuckwit tells us too tonight

It really is bizarre

my sons girlfriend has tested positive for Covid.

my first thought should be shit I hope she isn’t seriously ill

it isnt , it’s shit my son will probably now have it and we will probably have to change our Xmas plans now.

odd.
That's not odd at all. Assuming your lad and his mrs are healthy and vaccinated that absolutely should be your first reaction these days.

A very friendly elderly nurse lady told me I was being offered Moderna for my booster when I had Pfizer for my first two because they are allocating Pfizer to kids and there is a lot more Moderna knocking around. She did say I could have Pfizer if I wanted it though.

Absolutely rammed in there today wasn't it. Took me over two hours.

Its 3. I can’t go to work for over 50 hours a week without having to wear a mask. It’s debilitating, it’s an horrendous experience but here we are having to do it. I can’t go anywhere without a mask but again, some might accept that and have no problems but I’m afraid I do and always will do.

It’s not normal, it’s not an acceptable way of life and it never will be.

Yeah it wasnt as quick as my first 2 think I must have got lucky (ish) though I was there for just over an hour, would have been miles longer had they given me Pfizer.

Glad you asked the question mate, I wanted too but saw the queues and thought id take my chances with the Moderna. Not massively happy im now in the old man band though im only 38 thought I had a couple more years in me yet

Just going off what I've read on here and hearing from others I know, a hell of a lot of people who previously tested positive are getting it again now. Before Omicron, even though we knew it was possible to get Covid again I wasn't hearing of anyone getting re-infected. When you factor that in along with Omicron's increased transmissibility, cases really are going to go through the roof.

A further 78,610 daily COVID cases were reported on Wednesday, up from 51,342 a week ago on 8 December.

Today's recorded cases are the highest of the pandemic so far, topping a previous record of 68,053 confirmed on 8 January.

Yup everyone is back in play for infection now with this new variant. Hopefully jabs and immune response from previous covid will prevent serious illness, we will see.
