Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I really think I'm through with football. The inner peace I feel is a feeling I've not felt for a good few years, I think it goes to show how spuds deep emotionally I was with football.

But I really think this is it, this covid pandemic has shown up the premier league, the FA and sky sports news as soulless, spineless and selfish. I've just turned sky sports news on and it wasn't even the content that would me up but the actual presenters. Apart from our Mike the big blue the other bunch are snotty, stuck up rag/Scouse loving tosspots who make my blood boil.

As well as their constant glee at the negative stories about us their smug twat grins and uncontrolled excitement on show for them two red mardarse clubs makes my blood pressure rise.

I won't miss anything about football on tv, radio or social media.

How can the likes of Richard Scudamore current Chairman of the Premier League, know better than the Doctors and the Scientific experts. In saying that it is safe to play football when they are still unsure as to how long it stays both in the air and on the ground or surfaces. Plus is he just a craven poltroon of a coward, and is just doing what the chairman of the rags and dippers want.

If that is what he is doing just following what they want, then he should do the decent thing and resign straight away. I don't know the new chairman of the Premier League a Mr Hoffman, he says he is a Coventry City fan, but my guess is that he will still jump to the tune of what the dippers and rags want.

You may not like Nicola Sturgeon as a person, but at todays press conference she said that the lockdown measures may have to stay for another fortnight. This is to make sure that the Covid19 virus is under control, and those catching or dying from it is coming down from day to day. We do not want to see it coming back by releasing the lockdown measures to soon.

On todays Sky News they said that the official death rate in China from this Covid19 was around 4,500 now if you believe that you will believe anything. Portugal had the least per capita due to the Government having a lockdown as soon as the first few died of Covid19. So why is our Government trying to kid us that it would be good for the welling being of the nation if football was to be brought back.

The Observer had a poll which had only 20% wanted football to be brought back, how many were surveyed I don't know. So much that the nation wanted football back.

You can't blame Scudamore, he left in 2018. It is the clubs who drive the agenda, and the majority rules.

this is correct, football needs a major reset, it started quiet a while back with stadiums becoming sanitised then the introduction of the corrupt VAR and to this we have today, we have just witnessed one of the most corrupt seasons ever along with corruption in the CL, is it any wonder folk give up,TBH i think if they found a cure for this virus tomorrow gates at football would be over 50% down,,all this might be for the better, one day football could return and gates could be that poor we may be able to pay on the day again and sit with mates

But what happens when you are unable to use deft footwork to bring your seat down? YOU HAVE TO TOUCH THE SEAT!! THAT IS THE POINT you seem unable to grasp. The final sentence was answered at my post #9206. You may wish to reread it to refresh your memory.
I am on the seat next to the aisle so half the row brush against me at least once. Being a gentleman I always lift the seat as l stand but flicking it down can be awkward
