Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

If they play behind closed doors next season, they will, have to reduce tv prices and certainly not increase them, if sky and BT put prices up, clubs should not allow it, it should be part of the agreement to carry on.so everyone can afford it or indeed see it, there are lots myself included who don’t have Sky.

Surely next season whenever that is, 3pm games are now on the table as part of TV rights / deals. Can't see a future where these games are no longer broadcast, due to crowds.

It's a rule that needs to go regardless.

It won't go as most match going fans support it and it is same in every country in uefa for the good of smaller clubs.

It has only been lifted this season, League 2 deciding what to do later today as behind closed doors means more costs than income.

They've never been able to develop a vaccine for previous corona strains. Not even the common cold. Hopefully the extent of this emergency will concentrate scientific minds and they'll get there in a few months. But worldwide distribution will present a logistical nightmare. Might take two years.
This point has gone over most peoples heads.
I said as early as February that this was a life changing event.

To be honest, what evidence do we actually have to support that it has an impact on 3pm games on a Saturday? Has it impacted attendances at the 12pm games or the late games...? If anything, it's the midweek games that should not be televised - that has the most impact.
