Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

UEFA have said that, if the PL is stopped this season, it can be decided on average points per game.

Gives a top six of:-
  • Bus Wreckers
  • City
  • Leicester
  • Chelsea
  • Manure
  • Sheffield
A bottom three of:-
  • Bournemouth
  • Aston Villa
  • Norwich
Obviously UEFA don’t want us so if they manage to kick us out Wolves would come into the top six.

Purely academic at this moment in time as football in stadiums with fans in attendance is not going to happen in the foreseeable future.

Wolves wouldn't get in on FFP. Spent over the limit.

I Couldn't give a toss about football at the moment. I more worried about keeping myself and my family safe and well. Premier League has to look at the ECB and cricket who have already said there will be no professional cricket until the earliest 1st July. The priority should be the critical services that are keeping us alive, not footballers and anybody associated with football. All associated with football including broadcasters will want regular testing etc, and that's before us normaltons.

Fuck em - I'll be parking my son and I's season ticket until a vaccine is available - Sport should be the last thing people are worried about - but that's my opinion

Spot on bud.

I have already told my lad we won't be going anywhere near a live football match again until someone has given us the jabs.

Prior to that, it appears there are plenty of 'pricks' running football to fill a stadium by themselves.

I had got him tickets for the cricket this summer for the one-day against Australia and the 20/20 Lancs v Yorks- the cricket people couldn't have been easier to get refunds from.

I’ve got 2 tickets for the West Indies test at Edgbaston plus 5 tickets for the T20 finals day but had email this morning saying they are trying to rearrange the test match so no refunds until a new date is confirmed or the game is cancelled . So along with the money City will owe for 3 season cards , 3 Madrid tickets and 3 hospitality tickets for the Norwich game last game of the season ( this was a 60th birthday present) we have a lot of money tied up in sporting events that most probably won’t take place.
