Could we be poorly supported at the CS this time?

I'm going. My dad and my brother can't make it so I'll be taking my Girlfriend and her Brother who really want to go. Should be a good day out!
 
The trouble with the CS is that its such a lousy indicator as to how we will start the season. The one thing you can guarantee is that our performance against Arsenal will bear absolutely no resemblance to how we play at Newcastle.

If I go to the game I'll be hoping to see a heavy legged team playing as if they'd just completed a 10k run before the game. A second half capitulation as tired players make tired passes. I definitely wouldn't want to see crisp, sharp interplay. I want to be able to come onto Bluemoon on Monday and find a mini meltdown, people complaining about our lack of fitness. I want to read in the press that Arsenal gave us a footballing lesson and will finish the season 10 points ahead of us.

But I'm not sure that I want to pay to watch that.
 
I'm putting my Branch's ticket request in later today, and reckon numbers are just 1/3 of 2011 Wembley game, and 1/2 the figure at Villa Park.
There's a few who frequent the Boards here....so I'm not going to criticise anyone who isn't going.
Talking in general terms, I think it's a lot to do with money where supporters are picking and choosing matches now because of the cost. I'd be very surprised if we fill our end if the drop in ticket requests I've seen is anything to go by.
 
I won't be going simply as i am working that day,an unfortunate side effect of working away on a week on/week off basis.

Most pre season friendlies[and this is just a glorified one really] are a waste of money due to the teams getting their fitness right,making subs and bedding new players in.I have often gone and thought afterwards,''Why did i bother?''

The only exception really is if we have an exciting new player making his debut then interest peaks.
 
People were slagging off Pellegrini on here after we lost a pre season game to Arsenal last season.

Mancini got the same whenever we lost a friendly as well.

You can never be shocked by how thick some people are.
