Could Women Compete Alongside Men In Sports?

As long as there is an even playing field then I don't see why women can't compete against blokes. Some sports may be a bit too aggressive for a woman if they were up against men, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a woman somewhere out there that couldn't go toe-to-toe with a bloke no matter what the sport. I'd exclude motorsports though.
If you're talking about the best woman versus the best male at a sport invariably the male will win. Nature has made the male stronger, quicker and physically superior when it's comes to these kinds of things. Sports are the modern equivalent of fighting and competeing for mates/territory, the male is the one who did this so they have evolved into a superior physical being based upon this, it's an undeniable fact.

Well I was thinking more along the lines of amatuers who have been trained up with exactly the same diet, exercise, techniques and stuff. No doubt that with professional sports then men would be top dogs for the vast majority of sports.

When i was in my footballing prime, i would have to say that women were far superior in the way they peeled the half-time oranges.

I used to play Sunday pub football for a team with a female coach.
Once,I was having a 'mare so she pulled me off at half-time.

What, and all i got was a f*ckin orange!!!

No.

Any time a woman has tried to compete against a man they have failed.Men are just naturally stronger and and more athletic.

Arsenals womens team are the best in the country, but they would probaly lose heavily to a county level under 16 boys side IMO.
