Could You Live Without A Car?

Hardly use the car. I bought it new 3 years ago and it's done about 10k miles.
So yes I could live without it.
It's handy for visiting certain people who live on housing estates and my son who lives about a hundred klms away.
But we have good trams buses and cycle ways locally where we live so seldom get it out.
I don't enjoy driving anymore.

I'm not a great fan of driving, either. But for longer trips where the arrival point is devoid of a railway station or where three changes are standard there's not much of an alternative.
 
Yup, done so all me life aside from a few years when working out in the sticks.

Does he? You can't leave hundreds of miles of unprofitable railway lines open for decades. On the off chance they might become profitable again.

Sure some of the cuts ran too deep but most of the cuts made were justified.
