Could you stomach rooney ?

I hated him for years for being a scumbag who the media adored. However first time round I thought he had the balls to stand up to Ferguson and United and would be a great signing. But as it turned out he was either a coward or a con. He stayed put dso I hated him again :-)

I'd be disgusted if we got him now. Just like I'd have been disgusted if we got RVP last year, or Gerrard a few years ago or Torres.

I'd gladly go without another year of winning the league if it means we don't sign players that I hate or believe are cheats. I want players that I can be proud of. It's more important to me that trophies.

IMO it is possible to have both - success and pride. It means signing players who are not only great players but great men too. We should be above Rooney's like.

Will stomach anyone who improves the squad and more importantly, the first team.
Never understand these who wouldn't want a player because of his club history, or in other words because he once played for United. I find it especially bizarre how people wouldn't have Ronaldo because he played for United, and there are many who say that on here when a transfer is mooted.
Rooney wouldn't improve our squad or first team, so regardless of who he is or why people hate him, it would now be a no from me. Different story a few years ago, mind.

I don't mind Ronaldo because I don't think he's a cheat, a bully or a truely horrible human being. I do mind Giggs, Rooney, RVP, Terry, Barton, Scholes, Torres, Gerrard....not many really.

It's not about playing for United. I stomached Cole and Schmichael initially, really liked them in the end.

But we were desperate in those days. We now can afford to find the "right" players for us not just whoever is available.

City didn't need to conjure everfeckin blue up to oust fans out of level 2 they just need to sign Rooney.don't see that fat blob as a viable long term prospect as not got the build or self discipline todo a gigs and surely only got max of 1 pr two average years left in him

rooney epitomizes the rags. he's an absolute cretin, one of the worst human beings in world football who has constantly bad-mouthed our club and our players.

ronaldo's a bit of a nob but i would have him.

Top quality player imo so yes I would love him here, only last season where he scored over 30 goals. I bet most hated Tevez and Bellamy before they joined yet they have both become cult heroes at the club.

Could I stomach him? No way - the prospect of him being anywhere near this club induces a cold sweat followed by the onset of severe nausea. The only thing more horrible would be Ferdinand joining the club. That truly would be the mother of all nightmares.
