There was a picture doing the rounds on Bluemoon and Facebook and it was of a 40 year old Rooney with the headline "why I gave up 30 Goals a Season for 30 Fags a day"; the picture was Rooney with a Slaphead and a Beergut.

Its not difficult to imagine.

For me - he has always been a cross between Shearer and Beardsley but not quite as good as either. How long he has left at the top level is anyone's guess.

I did notice in the often shown clip from the weeks events as Wio is clapping in the Refs face from last Tuesday night and other Scum players are cry babying at the Ref; Rooney is apart from it all and shaking hands and swapping shirts with a Real player.

My best guess, another year or two at the Swamp and then a move back to Everton.

I'm not sure, he's been AWOL and wasn't it reported that his wife left him because he had an affair, which actually lead to the whole fiasco with Munich etc? Not sure if its true or not and I'm glad he's getting on with now mind, but not sure he's an angel.

never in a million years that guy will go back to everton he would be as welcome as a dose of aids, tbh i'd value him at 25-30 mill typical spuds signing at 5 mill a year
