Yes a huge commitment plus besides the culture difference there is the emotional & mental problems that come with itI used to take in kids from Chernobyl for a month at a time and I can say it was hard work. Purely because their culture is different to ours.
Yes but putting checks, balances and vetting procedures is frowned upon as being red tape.Yes a huge commitment plus besides the culture difference there is the emotional & mental problems that come with it
With hosts being offered £350 a month to take refugees in I can see " wrong uns" & scammers rubbing there hands together
What a contrast to ww2 when kids as young as 4 were packed off onto trains to live with random strangers in the countryside for the duration. I suppose them being bummed by creepy didn't hosts didn't occur to people back then. It's the right thing to do - yes!

Into my home? Absolutely not.
The idea that yet another cost should be passed on to the people when the Government could solve it by using a thousandth of a percent of the budget is pathetic.
We were talking about the same thing the other day plus no scheme was set up for the Afganistans,Syrians,Iraq's ext fleeing war and persecutionNot a slant on anyone wanting to help in the current crisis. I would if I could.
On a slightly different topic, and not wanting to derail this thread, a question I was asked yesterday. Would you be willing to home a homeless British person for £350 a month? A step towards tackling one of our problems in society.
