I think that comment was heavily laced with irony.

Not by Lawro it wasn't, he wouldn't know irony if it jumped up and ripped his tache off.

Count ourselves lucky? Why would we as a nation count ourselves lucky? What a stupid topic title.

Surely the Scots are unlucky for not being able to see this talent week in week out in the SPL.

Why the OP couldn't have just praised Silva without the dig against the Scottish, that seems to be becoming more and more tolerated on this board.

There was even some mild racist use in the Come on Scotland thread last night but the mods and owner are choosing to ignore this. The thing is, being Scottish, and especially during international week, we seem to be getting singled out more and more often without anything meing done about it.
