I will only be confident of top 4 when its mathematically certain and I will only accept the long wait for a trophy is over when the ref blows his whistle at Wembley and the ribbons on the trophy are blue and white.

If at the week end we lose at Everton and Spurs win (which sadly could happen) then the nerves will start again.

I didn't take offence at the banner yesterday.

At the end of the day next year won't be 35 years, whether we win a trophy or not.

Next season we could all be singing "36 years and we're still here"

Reminds me of some of the threads on here over the season like "After we beat Fulham...". Some City fans have become arrogant already, a bad sign for the future of our fanbase, as United, Arsenal, and Spurs (even though they have accomplished fook all) have nauseatingly arrogant "We're better than you" fanbases.

Did anyone see the banner shown before the game with the 35 years crossed out?
Sorry to be a pessimist but surely we should wait until we have hopefully won the FA Cup.
Banners like that have a horrible knack of coming back to haunt us, what does everyone think?

Am I a negative grumpy fooker
Or
Right to not get to giddy?
it was a stupid, presumptuous and arrogant banner

stoke have as much chance of winning the cup as us

You are just a grumpy fooker ;-)

Seriously tho why why why??? I didn't see it, but this is City we are talking about here, done the hard bit in beating the Scum, so good chance of it all going wrong.

If it wasn't this the rags would have pictures of city fans with foil FA cups to take the piss.

Is this today's point of hate of the city fans? Do they need banning? What if these people were at Blackburn too as maybe stoning them would be more suitable.

I think the same. Seven points clear and a cup final against Stoke are all well and good but things are not settled yet. Nothing has been accomplished although things are set quite nicely.

I won't feel excited/relieved if/until a cup won and 4th or better guaranteed.

As others have noted we have a very tough run of fixtures coming up. I still think we'll be celebrating at the end of the season but this is not the time!
