That town used to be part of Mayo about 100 years ago.

Bloody hell I nearly did go with Mayo colours as was trying to get a Kilmovee Shamrocks hat on Saturday but all shut.

Incorrect, he was the minister of Tulllylish Church of Ireland and then Shankill Parish Church 5 and 3 years from my home.
And there is doubt about the involvement of his daughter Anna in the founding of the football club, but the St Marks cricket club is regarded as her idea.
Perhaps Gary James can post a link to his research.

Just done a bit more reading and it appears that he had been a Methodist before moving to Lurgan in County Armagh as an Anglican "lay preacher" before being "ordained" in Tulllylish Parish Church between Banbridge and Gilford in County Down and from there moved to Yorkshire (Harrogate) and then to West Gorton St Mark's

Their Mother is from Mayo, Their father to the best of my knowledge lived somewhere between Navan and Drogheda ,so either a meath or Louth Man.

Watched the Brighton away game 2019 in Tralee when we won the league. Pub was packed with plastic red dippers. The national media by and large hate us over there, usually lead by Eamon Dunphy and John Aldridge.

I’d seen this, I told the guy I know who’s invested in it that I had no clue why so much interest in an Irish team, still don’t quite get it but who knows….
2 clubs already this season have been taken over by foreign investors, one American and one Canadian.
