Cover versions you think were better than the originals

The Flying Burrito Brothers version was released before the Rolling Stones released it.
The Stones didn't like their demo versions of the song.
Great version though.
Loved Gram Parsons.Got into him after Costello did a couple of songs in his Almost Blue Country album.

Thought it was the other way round
Gram Parsons had some voice.
Himself and EmmyLou Harris were even better than Haaland and DeBruyne.
 
Dear Prudence by Siouxsie and the Banshees was even better than John Lennon's (original) version for me. Feels almost sacrilegious to say it and it's subjective and while I enjoy both in their different ways, there's more layers to the cover and Siouxsie's voice is memorably haunting especially against the psychedelic backdrop.

Arguably better than the original Black Sabbath Iron Man, but more because it as a rendition than a cover.

And if against all other Iron Man covers, The Cardigans cover stood out above the rest.

Helter skelter was also up there.
