Covers that sound bettter than the originals

ROBERTA Flack, The first Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Written in 1957 by Salfords very own Ewan MacColl for Peggy Seager in 1957. Recorded by many artistes such as Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary. Ewan hated them all, until Flacks soulful rendition in 1972. Great song, great Version.
BTW, what the fuck with autocorrect, rendered MacColl as MacCool and Seager as Seater !
 
Julia Jackson's cover of 'Someday' by The Strokes...check it out on You Tube. Also Futureheads' version of 'The Hounds of Love' by Kate Bush, though that is a close call.
