I usually nod my head when I read a post of yours calling people wet fannies. But that's normally football related which in the grand scheme of things is unimportant.
A worldwide pandemic the likes of which hasn't been seen in modern times which has quarantined much of Europe causing social and economic disaster, might just, in this instance give people reason to have wet fannies.

All I`m saying Pablo is that too many people react negatively at the thought of something which is "out of the ordinary" and can`t cope with it/change.As I`ve said in a jokingly fashion on another post I`m certain some people think this the end of humanity.They need to get a grip.

Instead the plan is to drive down the number of cases to very low levels, which the models predict will limit deaths from coronavirus to the thousands or tens of thousands. That's sub 'flu isn't kt?

Why didn't the Government just go for this strategy in the first place (which is what many of us have been asking for some time). Whatever,it doe appear we are all in agreement at last????

Why can't we as a society decide to bypass the Phase II, III and IV parts of the live trial and just trial the vaccine in life and death cases with agreement of the families. Is that unethical?

Vaccines don't help people in life/death situations. it's a prophylactic not a cure.

You can't skip trials because you don't want another Thalidomide.

That's not what happened with thalidomide but that's the kind of massive unknown side effect you might see if you don't perform every single trial.
