Deaths continue to spiral in Italy. Official figures show 793 have died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours - another daily record.

In total 4,825 people have now died across the country.

More than 53,500 have been diagnosed with the virus nationally, up more than 6,500 since yesterday

Currently they've got their daughter and son-in-law round with their three kids.

i lone work with vulnerable people and got a call earlier to see if i would work later tomorrow as member of staff has had to self isolate. as the person they want me to work with has not been tested either i declined and i can see this as being a huge problem for the care sector.

Definitely don't go. It just isn't worth the risk. If you've got it — and you can be completely asymptomatic — you can leave the virus on hard surfaces and it can live for about 24 hours, according to the WHO. In China 15% of those over eighty who got it went under.
It's just one family meal. There'll be many others in the future.
