missed that one. I thought it's italy where it started. Anyway, it goes bit on my tits, they clap for different thing each night. And it started to mutate to some bullshit patriotism stuff. In Croatia, they sung some patriotic song, that used to be popular during 90s war. It's like virus is some anticroatian enemy
What harm are they doing, people always sing during a time of crisis,if it makes one person feel better then it works

Some feral little fucks were spitting at the tram as my colleagues were trying to get off it this morning.
One of my colleagues has a mother who is dying (not virus related) in a hospice (one visitor at a time) and a father who was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 weeks ago. Yet she is still going into work and trying to process new benefit claims.
These kids need rounding up and putting into boot camp. Or worse.
Agreed. These things NEVER happened prior to March 2020.
The only thing that NEVER (just to ensure we don't miss the emphasis) happened before March was...April.
But, crack on Ric, let's just accept that scrotes will always be scrotes and that we shouldn't expect anything less; especially in a time of crisis. Or should that read CRISIS?

the virtue signallers love it don’t they.
A neighbour of mine bristled when I opined her enthusiasm for standing at her door clapping wasn’t going to get one test delivered, and she was only doing it to make herself feel good.
Fucking hell, you’re a ray of sunshine mate. Bet you must hate those pesky kids painting rainbows and putting them in their windows. You should paint your own one that says “PAINTINGS DON’T EQUAL TESTS”, just to really piss on their chips eh.

I'm going to silently push a piece of paper across the desk as my response to the clapping controversy.

Feeling good is like a medicine against despair and hopelessness. So I'm happy that they find ways to feel good, feel part of a collective. It will help them keep going, and trying their best... it'd be a disaster if people lost sight of their being part of a community or just altogether lost hope and became cynical, like nothing mattered and no-one cared. These things are more / less important to different people depending on their make up (I'd say it might matter where you are on the old introversion / extraversion spectrum but it's probably other things as well *cough* big five *cough* *cough* agreeability *cough* miserable old buggers like us need not worry about that *cough*).

It's the message it sends and the situation it creates: kids/whoever jumping on trams, running from carriage to carriage; sitting, standing wherever they want paints a picture in people's minds of societal breakdown at a time when we need the absolute opposite. people will, naturally, and quite rightly think that If we can't get a simple thing like cooperation on public transport right, what hope is there for the bigger picture? It's absolutely a priority.
I refuse to go certain near places (like public transport) for that very reason, it's a terrible thing not trusting your fellow humans, but at a time like this I'm more interested in self (and wife) preservation.

My kids all did the rainbows at the weekend on pieces of cardboard. Outside, they look really good. Inside, I’ve got three rainbow cuttings in my windows with Peroni, Hop House and Stella on them

Not really accepting it, but equally not thinking that people jibbing trams is that important to most rational people right now either.
