The CMO's haven't seen any new evidence to say we need them ,boris did say the other day they would be useful for confidence,i think that is pretty much all they are for,i think people will get a false sense of security myself

A lot of scientists have said they have a big role to play in reducing spread and other countries that are doing a much better job than us are recommending them so I'm glad they're being recommended here. I do agree though that they have a potential to create false confidence. I think there needs to be advice too for people continually lifting them to smoke for example, because that can lead to more face touching.

More downsides for me,more touching your face as you are not used to something over your face,washing properly after each day,who is going to do that,taking them off really carefully,lifting them on and off to eat and drink shifting any virus around,feeling that you can be closer to other people,forget hand washing and surfacing are just as likely to give it to you,it's a no from me

Definitely a mood change today.

Seems like the steps are now laid down as we begin to switch the lights back on.

Of course it’ll come back for a second bite, second waves can often be worse than the first with viruses.

And there’s nobody upstairs to pray to about this, nobody but politicians and scientists to help us through this.
