ASCL have "history" in regard to their relationship with government. Cosy springs to mind.Seemed to be taking a reasonable approach to it. Not for it or against it, but continuing dialogue.
I have a whole family of teachers. They want to get back to work but simply can't see how it can be done with social distancing - especially in Primary Schools.Ah, it's "only" the teachers. The mask has well and truly slipped.

I wouldn’t bother engaging with them.I can get you an application to train to be a teacher if you think the pay and hours are great. Drop me a PM any time.
They can't see how social distancing can be done because it can't be done. There's tacit and explicit acceptance of that from everyone, most notably in the DfE guidance. It's deliberately abstruse, and has no science/data at all to back it up. That's what we want to see and then an informed decision can be made. We've asked for it consistently and nothing has been forthcoming. Let's see what this week brings because it needs to be seen soon.I have a whole family of teachers. The bubble idea that Worcestershire are going with works with a 1/3 of kids in school but can't be expanded.
