I'm assuming this (possibly) incredibly positive news has been posted and celebrated but if not here you go.

Couple of things that don't seem right though, it says 200k a day at the peak in London and the total for the UK is reported as 250k. Also says there was a glitch on the 16th that may have impacted the numbers.

Great news re London but shocking what is happening in the NE.

How on earth does London have no new reported cases and the North East 4000!

Have you seen the BMI on those Geordie's?

Joking aside I don't think anyone knows what to believe these days. All the time the news seems conflicting and confusing.

What a strange piece of journalism. We probably all accept that there are more cases than have been recorded but 200k per day in London! How many in Manchester or Birmingham etc and how many people would that make have had the virus already. I do wonder though who are the people catching it now and where in the country are they? Is the virus becoming less prevalent or not?

Seems wrong, even we asume an average of 150k per day for the 5 days either side of the peak that would mean 1.5 million infected. then factor in how long this has been going for and i would suggest we would be looking at maybe 3 million infected alone in London.

Not watched it all but the bits I saw.

in South Korea.

10k people examined closely, 290 cases came back as positive weeks after recovery, this has now been proven to be false positives. the virus being shed at that later stage is dead but still shows in tests as the tests cannot distinguish between living and dead virus.

so going by this report reinfection isn't looking likley.
