That is not true, they reported across the board,it is also not just about one person of any age dying,it is because of who they spread it to

I don't disagree with you Karen. I have followed the rules throughout, maybe slackened off a bit recently and am conscious of this when I met my parents or anyone who may be more vunerable. If I was to catch it and become seriously ill it would be very unlucky, but if I was to pass it to someone older and more at risk it would be irresponsible which is always in my mind.

8 deaths and 41 new cases in Wales. Emphasising my point about the trouble that nation is still in

Multiply up by difference in population to England and that 8 would be about 140. Not 35 as England had.

More new record lows in the adds on for England hospital deaths today too.

The 5 day total for 27 June is just 24.

And just 2 on the day for July 1 - so that means a single figure number (9) (5 + 2 _+ 2) over the last 3 day period has occurred for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

The England hospital death figures are not showing any real evidence of a pattern other than a slow fall.

Outside of hospital might be another matter.

The all settings figure last week was 149.

UK hospital total is 44 minus Ireland (likely to be zero or 1) Last Thursday it was 62.

So there will need to be a lot of out of hospital add ons to go over the all settings from a week ago. But that happened yesterday.

Yesterday was hopefully more of and anomolie than a sign of anything to worry about. It's inevitable there will be days where it goes up, as long as it's coming down for more than its going up and the 7 days total are in the right direction that's all we need.

Btw for Bluemoon Dan - the 35 England hospital deaths today were aged 54 to 92. Only two - aged 54 and 84 - had no known underlying health conditions.

I agree mate. The daily reporting will be less reliable as people in the NHS social care take leave they are owed and also the end of the daily press conferences takes some of the heat off the people providing the Covid figures. The trends become even more important if anything. Tue community test results are also vital as we’ve seen with the lockdown in Leicester.

Some fascinating new hospital data on the beta site shows Covid daily admissions

England hospitals logged 21 Jun (318) 22 Jun (275), 23 June (262) 24 Jun (256) 25 Jun (248) 26 Jun (209) 27 Jun (155) 28 Jun (172) 29 Jun (79)

That certainly seems to show declining admissions.

Indeed the Welsh figure has doubled in the same period and its most recent number for 29 Jun is actually higher than England at 105!

Absolutely delighted with Jimmy Krankie making face coverings compulsory in shops in Jockland.
Same in England please Boris - ASAP. Staff too.
4 months too fecking late but it's good to get there.
80% less new infections and thus deaths as a result of shopping going forward in Scotland

I have laughed along that way that there have been quite a few in their 90's and a few 100's that have no underlying conditions,we really need to bottle what they have and sell it lol

I have an asthma diary now and a peak flow meter to see if has brought on asthma or not,i keep checking my oxygen levels now and it sits 94/95
