Yeah I think that was part of the Oxford one. the monkeys caught it but no matter how large the does they never hit that killer pnumonia levels

Ah ok. Just saw a post somewhere with the link to the Mail (I know) article about this (they aren't keen on the idea of vaccines...).
So essentially they were full of CV19 but not ill enough to be a serious issue for them. Thanks.

If you create a nm sized pore in a synthetic material like graphene and then put a voltage across it in an electrolyte solution ions will flow unimpeded through the pore to create a current but if at the same time you put through a viral RNA molecule such as Sars-cov-2 then each base interferes with the current in a known manner and you can sequence the bases. This is the technology behind some rapid testing technology.

See https://nanoporetech.com/covid-19/overview if you are interested.

Tried accessing via a different browser. So far so good. I did a virus scan and it seems to have worked on most sites but they kept appearing here blocking access. Its obviously linked via the adverts.

"The percentage of people in Scotland who have been exposed to coronavirus is likely to be less than 5%.

Based on random testing of blood samples between the end of April and the end of June this year it was revealed that 4.3% had antibodies."

Reported at today's Scottish Government briefing on Covid.

As a simple microscopist it puzzles me that the incidence is so low, even accounting for lockdown measures.
