It's guaranteed anyway. The government is advised by very clever people and I am sure they are taking what they believe to be the optimal steps. They will have modelled to death the different scenarios of spread in response to different measures at different times and are doing everything we can to keep the peak numbers of sick as low as possible.
There was a woman being interviewed by Andrew Neill yesterday who is a professor of some specialist subject (I forgot exactly what) to do with behavioural science and study of how populations respond to different measures. She pointed out that if you cancel an open air event and then everyone goes to watch it in the pub, then it would probably make things worse.
I think people are too quick to criticize and to assume incompetence or ulterior motives when the reality is these are simply difficult and nuanced decisions.
