Any treatment has to go through safety trials but something like early physio to try and dislodge it might be worth a go but that means more people being in hospital which they don't wantDoes this mean we can start developing a treatment to at least offset the accumulation of this mucus? Not a cure but target the lethal symptom as an intermediary measure?

No because the 2 are not the same,one disease doesn't follow another when nobody has any immunity like flu hasI keep comparing the impact to that of Flu.
given that annually between 300,000 and 600,000 people die of flu I think it's quite reasonable to consider the impact it has when discussing COVID-19.

That sounds a good idea and hopefully posibleWell could they map what's producing it and pair it with the most effective current say inhaler or something like that so we have a short-term symptom reducer?
