But I would say likely one of the biggest contributing factors is their proactive and aggressive response to the outbreak.

What is that? Genuine question - I was unaware of them doing anything particularly proactive or aggressive, but maybe I have missed it? Also whilst I can fully grasp the possibility of them having a much lower mortality rate, what is a complete mystery to me is why they have far fewer critical cases? Better medical treatments surely influences outcomes, but not the percentage of people getting ill in the first place? The German numbers are to me at least, very puzzling.

? What have they done? As far as I can see they haven't done anything more than the UK. And they have a lot more cases. It's just the deaths that are low.
It may well be as simple as having better and more ICU facilities, as there seems to be a direct correlation between how quick the care you get is given, and more ICU beds is a help.

The German death rate, 0.1% at the moment, is very, very low when compared with other places. Is it because their health services are excellent or is it because they use Ozone Therapy as an option to treat Viral Pneumonia - and have done so since Spanish Flu in1918. Maybe a combination of the two.
What is Ozone therapy?

Interesting read, coronaviruses from bats were known to be able to infect humans and that study put them slightly more under the focus of virologists.
I mean, I hope that's what you were highlighting and that you weren't looking for tin foils.

Here's a cute little dinosaur in amber for your scientific trouble.

Agreed but how does that explain them only having 9 serious/critical cases??? For reference, Italy with circa 5x the number of cases, have 1,000 serious/critical. On a like for like basis it's 9 vs 200.

Yes, we all know about the demographic in Italy being older etc, but 9 vs 1,000? Surely there's something else afoot. I am reminded of the 'two strains" discussion and have been wondering if the Germans have a higher prevalence for the less aggressive strain, perhaps?

No idea really, maybe they're just catching it and treating it earlier ?

If I were looking for tin foils I'd have the Dean Koontz book on show
