Im hoping when people go back to work (from home mostly) next week, they will be too occupied to mix for piss ups.Fuck.
Had been hoping the case numbers were a blip over Christmas.
Looking sustained above 50k. Very bad news.
The bin men came and the cat posted before I edited is why I changed it immediately. Best excuse of the day yet true. Always walking over the keyboard when I go out of the room, But rarely hits the right key! That’s what she’s said?

I think it’s likely a significant number of people have been having friends over this Christmas period.
Makes me feel pretty embarrassed to be British .. what a selfish fucking nation we are..This country is totally desensitised to covid deaths and it's quite obvious that unfortunately most don't take the PM or the rest of his cronies seriously anymore. It's an incredibly dangerous combination. I remember when I told my mum that a few hundred had died of it in the earlier weeks of the outbreak and she was shocked. Just been on the phone to her now and mentioned the 900+ of the last two days and it was barely acknowledged. My mum is a compassionate, considerate person too. I know its a normal reaction to try and get by and cope, but it's incredibly concerning. It can only lead to people letting down their guard more often.
Absolutely boggles the mind that we're not in full lockdown. People in other countries are literally looking on in amazement at us in terms of how badly we're dealing with this.

Regarding the vaccines, what does the first dose do? How immune are you from it and does it stop you spreading it?
