Depends if it is in cardboard or plastic, they seem to be the things it clings to but also the delivery mans hands, some are wearing gloves but that doesn't matter,i think anything that comes in,even papers and the post needs to be treated the same way, people isolating are going to be getting deliveries,it is better to be safe than sorry
We got our Morrisons order via Amazon yesterday and it was good to see it
delivered in big paper bags ;)

BBC news at 1 says Tube usage down 80%. London buses down 69% however if you have a Sunday service or a restficted service you still have overcrowding.

UK Gvt is behind the curve. There is still zero news or questioning in the media about testing.

3rd highest testing in Europe behind Germany and Russia. Ramping up by about 7,500 additional tests a day. 50k last Wednesday, 65k on Friday so probably 87.5k today. I cant find figurescto prove the last mumber though.

The reasons underlying the German & Swiss case fatality rates don't seem to have been explained yet - they have an older population than Italy and others and have not introduced such stringent lockdown measures.

I have no idea if this is a factor but lots of German's are fit. Even on holiday I always see them power walking and cycling etcetera, even the elderly.

Not sure if covered already

Lots about surface survival and why this is moving more that SARS1

Brilliant video again - I’m amazed at how little has been mentioned about these modes of transmission via surfaces as the social distancing does not prevent transmission this way. I suspected the viral load locations in the body were going to be very different - smart little fucker unfortunately

still coughing and feel a bit breathless on exertion,it is difficult to know what illness is causing what now, really we need someone who is usually fit and h as had it to get a proper idea on how long the actual virus takes to get over
Yeah stay as strong as you can and take care of yourself.

yes it was big news at the beginning,i think events have got away from the experts so now they are all about social distancing

As far as I am aware the advice is NOT to call 111 unless the severity of symptoms is so bad that under normal circumstances, you would be calling 111. Most people would not be calling 111 for flu-like symptoms.

I can only imagine that 111 is inundated with calls and it seems sensible for people not to be ringing them "just in case" for symptoms which are not severe. That's the advice from the government anyway.
Use the online 111 service. Much quicker. If you need to be seen they will ask for contact details and ring you back.

A worrying snippet which caught my eye:

Singapore tests and traces their population and has kept its epidemic firmly under control. They have 509 cases, Their big problem is returning students. And guess where they are coming from? The UK, a shocking 13% (59 cases) of their confirmed cases are from the UK.

Maybe Singapore has a lot of UK based students but it is worrying that their testing is picking up a lot of infected people who were living in the UK.

Chinese virus? I wonder if Singapore has a problem where Brits are getting attacked in the street?

People are looking to pets to provide company, while they are unable to see friends and family due to social distancing measures.

Animal shelters say there has been a noticeable rise in the number of people looking to foster or rehome a pet during the coronavirus outbreak.

Centres run by Battersea Cats and Dogs Home and The Dogs Trust have been closed to the public because of COVID-19, but people are still able to enquire online and visit by appointment

"Dog ownership is a wonderful thing but it is a lifelong commitment which must be carefully considered," the trust said.

"As our saying goes, 'a dog is for life' and, in this case, not just for self-isolation.

I think having a pet if you are on your own is good but don't get them for the wrong reasons

Lots of reasons:
- The skiing youth got it first. They are not as good a figures as they were a week ago.
- Lots of testing to actual cases (reduces mortality %)
- Lots of ventilators
- Using remdesivir antivirals (they bought a big stockpile last year).
- Traditional use of Medical Ozone gas (Oxygen with 0.5 ppm Ozone) for fighting viral pneumonia.
- Tradition use of Ozone therapy to boost immune system in ill patients. (e.g you bubble Ozone through olive oil and rub the mixture into the body which absorbs the ozone and boosts the bodies immune system).

Don't know about that, Lombardy health care is pretty good.

They have one of the best healthcare systems in Europe in the North of Italy so no need to be modest in times like this as people can do the reverse engineering on this one themselves on the impact this will have unfortunately.
