Has China released any stats on median/average age of the fatalities? Seen another front line medical worker gone today at 29 years old and the other two high profile doctors that sadly passed away were in there 40s I believe with no prior issues.

I don’t understand why these doctors went so young as we only seem to hear about elderly victims with pre existing medical conditions? There’s something strange going on here me thinks...
For the life of me I don’t believe these doctors are working usual shift patterns. It wouldn’t surprise me if exhaustion has a massive part to play here.

Seems to be getting less coverage on the mainstream- has it calmed down ?
Not really, China seems to be massaging the numbers, it's kicking off big style in Korea, and the cruise ship evacuees are carrying it to all corners of the globe. I do find the lack of coverage strange, also the lack of government announcements on what people can do to minimise the spread like how to wash your hands properly.

If the numbers are to be believed then china will level off on new cases soon.

thing is, the one thing im finding quite telling ( Im far from a doctor! ) is the number of cases on the cruise ship, its up to 634 now, which is 20% of the people on it, and this is in a quarantined state, people staying in rooms, no AC ( I read it somewhere but not sure where ), and getting deliveries to door for food etc.

And then there is the ability to actually test the cases to prove positive or not, the ability to do this seems quite limited. Japan couldn't test everyone on the cruise ship. reports of testing kits being shipped to places like Africa as they have no facilities at all to test for it.

Dr Campbell is covering it today.

Edit: He does seem to be calling it SARS-Cov-2 now, wonder if thats an official medical term.

First case in my region here in Italy, a 38-year-old man is in bad condition. At the start of February he had dinner with a colleague who had come back from China. His pregnant wife is also infected but apparently not showing severe symptoms. Previous cases of pregnant women in China showed that the foetus shouldn't be at risk though.

There are a few cases of children getting it in the womb but nothing yet to suggest complications for the baby bar having it. most child cases are very mild, I say most, but all known cases are very mild.
