i can only agree mate, its become something now we all have to deal with on our own, all our circumstances differ, i cant advise, i can only say what my plan is and in approx two weeks il be inside and not coming out, no working, no payng domestic bills 'they will have to wait for there money'

I'm due to go on holiday to a virus free island country next Thursday. Might stay there if it doesn't get cancelled!

It's a fucking joke. Similar story here - a guy at work didn't come in on Friday as he'd gone down with something, but is back in today as he feels better but not completely recovered. He returned from a skiing trip with his family in Austria 9 days ago and was worried he may have caught it so phoned 111 this morning and they fobbed him off. How can you get tested when you're being told not to show your face at the hospital/doctors, etc?

What they don’t understand is the virus doesn’t distinguish between age, sex, colour, creed etc. It will infect you regardless of your opinion of it or who it affects.
However the more vulnerable, and that might not depend on age, will have a harder time of it.

Seems like the government’s plan to ‘reduce’ the spread is to just not test anybody. “No new cases for 2 weeks, what a remarkable turnaround”. That way they can keep businesses operating and life as normal, which is all they want. In the background to all that, thousands will die but they won’t care.

Kept kids off school.....

Had Headteacher on the phone, she has informed me it will go down as unauthorised absence.

Conversation was pretty much her spouting... the current public health England guidelines are children should be attending school any absence will be unauthorised.

Asked me to support the school and reconsider sending my child back to school.

school was a safer place then mixing with the general public (I pointed out child would be in home isolation or house arrest as the teacher called it)

keeping child off school would cause unnecessary panic amongst children and parents.

Well I for one care about the grannies even if some in the media don't. I hear Rooney is very concerned.

Minimise social activity, wash hands with soap and don't touch your face while out and about. Beyond that there's not a great deal to be done. Good luck all.

PS - pinch of salt with those figures released by China, they have good economic reasons for downplaying the spread there.
