This is going to be as significant to the world as 9/11 and the global financial crisis, if not even more so.
Having a buffoon as PM being instructed by a psychopath won't help.
Hope I'm wrong.
Oh good grief, MUCH more so. in terms of deaths, it is already. And we've barely begun. We saw how the Americans stopped flying after 9/11, give it another month or so and the entire planet will have stopped flying. The impact on businesses is going to be catastrophic - people going out less, travelling less, staying in hotels less, shopping less, factories producing less. It's the 2008 crash in slow motion, but much worse. This is going to be as significant to the world as 9/11 and the global financial crisis, if not even more so.

I suppose the positive you could take from that is that South Korea are way ahead numbers wise in terms of testing and that's where there is a low % of fatalities per cases. The hope will be that this turns out to be the case elsewhere when more testing is done. It could be that there's a significant number of people who have it or had it and just not realised or not been tested and recovered fine.
Do not, in any circumstances, purchase an annuity. No need since flexible drawdown was introduced in 2015. Annuity rates are circa 1.3% when they were over 5% in the early 2000’s.

Especially the ones on American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175.We saw how the Americans stopped flying after 9/11,
we cannot short cut trials, there is a legal as well as ethical rules to followmore so sadly in my opinion - no amounts of QE by the central banks can rescue and restart global economies this time as the enemy is fear and self preservation, once enough of the global population reach these tipping points the downward velocity will be hard to reverse, I can’t even see how any fiscal stimulus will convince people to go out and return to normal if the numbers continue to increase. Australia is about to go into recession for the first time since 1991 - that barometer alone tells you all you need to know on the benchmarking comparisons.
this time we need the big Pharma companies in conjunction with a globally coordinated government response to dig us out of this hole. I am personally pretty optimistic on the pharma side as the end goal is a vaccine and we can shortcut clinal trial times and also focus on testing anti virals which have come along way; there are some great biotech companies and specialized laboratories around the world. It’s the global government coordinated responses that worries me at the moment.
The WHO seem to believe those numbers

We’ve had 18 cases in three days in Qatar. It’s 27 degrees. It does not appear to be spreading fast in the walmer Southern Hemisphere which gives me some hope it may well fade as we approach summer.
Could though re emerge over winter.
Been a crazy start to the new decade.
Lower figure than i was expecting to hear unless it is on the back of weekend and 24 hours behind.
Shit, i thought it was Happy Birthday?Government saying we are in the contain phase still.
Maybe I’ve missed something here but what measures are being taken by the government to contain the virus? Apart from telling people to wash their hands whilst singing the National anthem?

Do we have to stand up as i can't manage that right nowGovernment saying we are in the contain phase still.
