Just for perspective and for the people who think it's comparable to flu, Italy had its worst flu season for 14 years a couple of years ago. 4 million got it and 30 (yes thirty) died. For Covid-19 there are 10,149 cases and 631 deaths so far, and it's increasing every day. People need to get a grip with their stupid comparisons.

Although, just for perspective, they had 30000 deaths from pneumonia, mainly in the over 75’s.

Yeah, based on 111’s script, they are mostly testing people that have returned from Italy/Spain etc but we know there’s more cases than that. I know @dozzie26 had to practically beg for one. So essentially, shit loads of cases are not being reported, but I get the impression that’s what Boris wants, it allows him to do nothing for longer.

Yep that is correct, and I still never received an actual test. A GP just checked my breathing through a stethoscope and my temperature. They are currently only swabbing people who've been in contact with a confirmed case, or returned from a high risk area.

I noticed yesterday that I saw a lot of people spitting throughout the day. So today I decided to count them and lost count.

Unbelievable that people think it’s alright to just cough up a load of Belgian custard and fire it out on the floor or up walls willy nilly when this thing’s is going about.

Bit of both but largely due to the fact that at its epicentre it seems to be contracting at pace and 56.1 cases per 1 million people have had it in total and the vast majority have recovered. Apply that in the UK with 60 million and i make that 3,600 people. Only 26 new cases in China yesterday. We are all mixing a little less hopefully washing hands etc and we have a first class NHS plus it is getting warmer soon and i think that will impact it.

Plus i have read a bit about Flu seasons ending and they do tend to abate in warmer weather.

Is it ok with you if i have that opinion or do you insist i change it?

Just looked it up and 27,000 died on the road last year in the UK, and I just read a report that said 270 of them were due to drink driving.

Clearly, driving whilst not under the influence needs a serious looking at!

I am assuming so,i travelled on the train,stayed in a hotel,it could of been any time,i was in a crush at the bar in the pub,i touched a million surfaces in 2 days,everyone i hugged seems to be ok,i am not a lucky person in general !

I share your hopes, but this is not flu. We must hope it does share its tendency to sod off in the summer. Its going to be bad if it doesnt.
