When I saw the numbers yesterday we are where Italy was 2 weeks ago on exactly the same trajectory. We could just continue and end up where they are in two weeks time....oh, wait, maybe not as we have half the intensive care beds per 100,000 than they do.

I posted it last night but the health auth. in Sweden is going out with a strong message that anyone with asthma should be taking their prevent medicine. Ask your doctor if that is what you should be doing as well.

Personally don't see much point in testing people that aren't at risk. If you are fit and healthy, there's not much danger. Probably better just getting those people to self-isolate whether they have it or not, rather than risk them infecting more people going to the GP or hospital.

Unfortunately I suspect that self isolation will be given lip service by many of those who haven’t a confirmed diagnosis.

Yes, that figures. There's all sorts of lies and manipulation or censoring of data going on I suspect.

Another weird one: Germany, France and Spain all have roughly the same number of cases each, but Germany has 9 critical, the others roughly 10 times that number.

What's different in Germany? How good, bad or indifferent their health service is compared to the others might affect the outcomes, but I cannot see how it would make much difference to how many people got seriously ill.

Are the Germans fibbing? Or perhaps they have a different strain? Might explain why so few deaths in Germany Vs other countries?

Of course it is. Money is the most important thing in the world. People mean nothing. People are just figures that can contribute to increasing money. Governments pretend they give a shit about the citizens of their country but they don’t, they just use the citizens for votes so put on a show about caring about them. But in the end it is all and only about power and money. Religion is the same.

I'd guess that's down to the age demographic but it is just a guess.

100 in each country of the same strain could have totally different outcomes due to age. Northern Italy is full of the elderly, i'd suggest it isn't the German elderly travelling there for skiing holidays.

I compared Germany to France and Spain. You might expect some difference in the rate of critical cases, but 10x? Seems odd to me.
 
The office where my Mrs works has implemented a 50% working at home policy, starting tomorrow. So 50% of the office work at home one week on a rota system, then they're back in the office the following week while the other 50% work from home.

There's about 30 people within that team, 10 have asked to remain permanently office based, so only 20 will follow the above alternate rota. The mind boggles at such micromanagement. It's a completely functional office-based role, why don't they just send everyone home to work at fucking once?
