I cant but question the logic of this so called lockdown we are in.

I say so called because so many things are now deemed essential and are open. Garden Centres, Estate Agents, DIY stores, Pet supplies, Vets, Dentists, Garages, MOT centres, Trades doing non essential work in peoples homes like decorating, all Schools and Unis and Colleges. The roads in our area are as busy now as they were a week ago. Surely a 2 week full lockdown would have been better if you wanted to reduce cases sharply?

Secondly new cases in the UK had levelled off 3 weeks ago arround the 19th/20th October and have been averaging between 21,000 to 23,000 a day since then.

IMO It will just damage some sectors of the economy further and possibly needlessly.

I got the impression yesterday that it was tough for various scientists/doctors temper their excitement. Certainly cause for optimism.

I could of course turn your own assertions back onto yourself by asking on what authority and expertise you speak, save for that which you have read in the press, publications or news feeds ? Are you a scientist, or do you hold a doctorate in the field of immunology or maybe a family member that works in this niche market. So you make a statement that our decision not to have it will exasperate and prolong the situation meaning all our lives will be put on hold longer. Show me the data and approved information that this is true. Even the makers of the vaccine will not stand on without an immunity from prosecution, so confident are they of their hurried end product.

And also where did I say I would refuse to have the vaccine ? I said I would evaluate the information first and then act on it. As an addendum you tell me to question the science if I'm in a position to do so. Again let us turn the auntie back onto yourself and ask ..are you proficient in your own scientific ability to support this science and if so what are your qualifications or at least afford to forum a copy of your own detailed thesis on the subject matter.

Like many others, you have a tendency to bleat out that what you read or imbibe as being the god given truth and anyone who may question it must be an idiot. We advocate the choice to evaluate any and all information to the best of our ability, before allowing someone to inject us, nothing more, nothing less. So I have taken aboard all your rants and filed them for future reference. Maybe what you need to do is wind your neck in until you are in a position to chat shit with the clarity of an articulate one. Until then, you remain just another football fan throwing in his two-penny-worth on an off topic forum.

In your analogy, unless I am mistaken you talk about 'an eat by date'. Now you are talking about a sell by date which is a totally different thing as is a best before date. I have heard of mixed metaphors before but not a mixed analogy. So which is it, a best before date, an eat by date or a sell by date?
