COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Slight red herring I think but the political point has been made that Burnham rightly or wrongly tried to fuck the government over unlike Liverpool who said tier 3 it is and now whereas restrictions have been relaxed slightly there as nod to their compliance we have been shafted. Not saying it is right and of course the tier system is to be reviewed every two or three weeks I think so we might go into tier 2 if the numbers keep on dropping. But essentially Burnham's ego has cost the GM businesses big time.

I think Burnham was right in that tier 3 wouldn't work without better support. That was eventually admitted by govt, probably in part at least because Burnham did so much to highlight it.

But people died as a result. And we'll have more restrictions now too.

Nothing to do with money it's the fact Manchester went into tier 3 2 weeks late as Burnham refused hence 2 weeks of covid growth leading to the tier 3. Dont know we're the PPE stuff came in.
The reason why Manchester went into Tier 3 late was down to money mate.

BTW, the Scouse fookers started getting their act together before entering Tier 3. The Regional and National news was full of features about Liverpool City Centre being like a ghost town, including interviews at an empty Cavern Club. The exception to this was the group of students getting pissed up and congregating outside bars on the eve of Tier 3.

Our infection rate is no worse than Liverpool or London though!
Not quite true. If you look at my reports each evening.

Liverpool city has been under 100 cases for the past 4 days. Manchester has yet to ever go below 100 a day and was double Liverpool yesterday.

Things have got a lot better in GM and we are coming out of it. But Merseyside started to come out of it first and has got lower. Whether that was because they adopted the restrictions without a fight is another matter.

But the fact it happened allows a justification. If a thin one.

London however is utterly ridiculous as its numbers are going upwards. It is having rising patient numbers. And more on ventilators,

These decisions are made partly on health grounds but politics has undoubtedly been a factor.

Sadly the result will be anger and less compliance in GM because of perceived unfairness.

Yet another own goal.

It's quite incredible how adept this government are at making us feel all incredibly separated and divided. Just making everyone angry and spiteful. Nice work lads. Even if they think they're the right calls, they're hopeless at delivering them. Never any good, honest vocal reasoning.

So Wancock and the tories are allowing London hospitality businesses to open up and receive additional income on top of their current support whilst Manchester businesses remain shut and reliant solely on the same support.

C*nts

Tier 3, eh? Shocked, I am!

I put my business into creditors voluntary liquidation this week after almost 29 years - I'll pay nearly £5k for the privilege too.

I've fought like fuck for months but sometimes you have to do it for the good of your health and sanity.

I'm just a one-man director band, christ knows what Manchester and its surroundings are gonna look like four months from now.

As long as London is okay though!
Sorry to hear about your business Tolmie. Yes it’s been a pisstake. I’ve had sweet FA off the Government and little income but I was still paying a tax return (this week) albeit for peanuts.

The London first policies of the Government have been very evident.

Fuck the government over? Or try and fight for a fair deal. 67% for Manchester but as soon as national lockdown it’s back up to 80%?
Why did Liverpool go into tier 3 so quickly? Did they think health over wealth? Personally I would rather be well and skint than wealthy and dead but that's just my opinion. Burnham had done fuck all for the region before the pandemic and he has done fuck all since. How he ever got elected is beyond me as he is nothing but a failed career politician with a huge ego

Health over wealth? Deary me. As if people losing their jobs would've been good for their health.

Hancock sucking up big time to Liverpool, Not even hiding they are being rewarded for being a nice pet dog.

He is using them as a way to say - 'look at what you could of won'. Hoping to persuade more compliance to gain promotion to tier 2,

It will do the opposite I am afraid as people will just see it as political not medical. When it is really a bit of both.

Somehow the neutrophil must sense the bacterium but I'd love to know how, and I'd love to know how it controls it's movement. It's almost as if it is thinking. How does it move?

Imagine being this critical of someone desperate to help his own people while turning a blind eye to the corrupt, uncaring and hate stirring government we have in office.

It’s a bit like watching Star Wars and thinking Obi Wan is a cock for putting his nose in the Empire’s business. As for that social justice wanker Luke Skywalker...!
