Kofi Annan is alive and well!
Agreed, it's been a struggle for us all. For me, being able to leave the house, feel safe and see the kids is top of my normality requests. If I can do that, it means most people's normalities, pubs, football grounds gyms etc, should all be there to be enjoyedI want/need light at the end of the tunnel. NORMALITY! Im sure im not alone. Its been a struggle.
All i asked was when people think that normality will creep back with the fantastic news of today.
not “going on the piss”. Just a glimpse of normality
Henry Kissinger for the older BM's.Kofi Annan is alive and well!
So it’s 70% effective after 1 dose from 22 days
80% effective if the 2nd dose is given after 3 months
also, Sky News really are vile
That might answer my question. For those who’ve had dose one, is it still 3 weeks rather than 12?my bro in law (NHS) just had pfizer jab, has his next one in 3 weeks.
Sorry if late to the debate but are you talking here about the AZ vaccine? So it’s 70% effective after 1 dose from 22 days

How do they know these details about effectiveness if the trial was done on a one dose basis with another given three weeks later I.e they've not reproduced the one shot only with no follow up scenario.?
The reason I ask is that Pfizer appear to have made this point by implication in saying they have no data on the effectiveness of one shot of their vaccine after three weeks if not followed by a second jab?
The AZ vaccine had different dose length trails, i think i heard some upto 6 mths apart.Sorry if late to the debate but are you talking here about the AZ vaccine?

It does seem as though as though there are some question marks around lengthening the second dose interval but in the present circumstances I don't think we have any option.
I read that if we can roll the vaccine out quickly just to the over 75s the death rate reduces dramatically.
My year has been one of work-eat-sleep. My mum is terminally ill so we see her only under very careful circumstances. Though as she only has months she cares less and isnt as strict. I agree with her. She needs to ‘live’ whilst she can.Agreed, it's been a struggle for us all. For me, being able to leave the house, feel safe and see the kids is top of my normality requests. Fucking hell.
I feel for you, I really do.
