Covid-19: People can start thinking about foreign travel - Shapps
The transport secretary says people are no longer being advised against booking holidays abroad.www.bbc.co.uk
I'll probably give travel abroad a swerve this year. I might book something towards the end of the year if there is an established process for getting in and out of the country and a bit more certainty about how well it is working. If I do, I will just book something last minute. I'm OK with waiting until next year though.
It's too unpredictable at the moment. You could fly out on the Monday and on Tuesday find out the country you're in has been moved into a different catagory so you have to quarantine on your return. Lots of countries have their own restrictions in place as to who can come in, what tests are required, curfews, mask wearing etcetera it's just not worth the stress.
Agreed. Generally the purpose of having a holiday is to get away from the stress for a short time, if going away is actually more stressful than not going then it negates the purpose of going in the first place.
