Covid and travel discussion

So, Florida 2021 postponed 12 months, just currently looking into 2 weeks Tenerife Mid August, adults double jabbed by then, hoping for some good news in the next few weeks regarding this.
 
Hope they get this sorted out as we have been given one of these batches.
Luckily, Spain already recognise these batches, but it may be an issue if you are planning on going to France or Italy, for example.

And population density is a significant issue. You gave it, we generally don’t, with a few exceptions.
 
Anyone know where our multi millionaire footballers have jetted off too..can't see them holidaying in Minehead or other exotic places in the UK..?

The under 30s will be smashing Ibiza and Mykinos whilst the older crowd will be swanning around the carribean, Indian ocean and Bahamas.
You'll probably get a picture of James Milner proudly holidaying in Historic York doing the rounds at some point...

Assuming you can get it at 8. im closer to 10 for mine ( having chased the GP for 2 weeks to get it ), the wife managed to get hers down to 11 weeks.

It's a wonderful place to chill out and relax but a week is long enough. I did 10 days in Sri Lanka followed by 7 days in the Maldives a few years ago. First trip was hectic with daily trips around the island seeing everything worth seeing and was fucking shattered by the end. I didn't leave the poolside the week in the Maldives, it was the perfect holiday.

Had a mate say the same thing..he used to go early 90s..played cricket on the beach and smoked some amazing ganja with the locals..he'd spend months out there

Plenty of Walk in centres that are doing it aslong as you are 4 weeks+ after original dose, although I've read recently that they think waiting longer gives a better protection.

The first time I went was the summer of 2009 which was only 7 months after the tsunami. We were offered the chance to cancel but decided they probably needed our business more than some other places and we went for it.
The hotel we stayed in had a capacity of over 500 guests and there were only 24 of us.
We were treated like royalty for the whole time we were there and the locals were so grateful to see us.
Parts of the beach were still a no go as the shite washed up on shore due to the tsunami were still there and it was heartbreaking still seeing missing posters up but we were so glad we didn't cancel. Was a surreal but humbling experience.
We hired a private driver to take us out every other morning for a full day's tour of all the sites and by the end of the holiday he had taken us to his house and introduced us to all his family and made our tea. I still message him now and again to this day and he was the first call when I returned a few years later.
I hope to get back in the next couple of years.
