Covid and travel discussion

Not too much of a hardship because there’s zero point to it. Theatre
I couldn't give two fucks what the reasons you think are behind masks.
For now it's about a bit of common courtesy between the customers and staff members that make them feel a bit more safe and secure.
It also tends to separate the members of society who are aware we are still in the midst of something serious and those selfish fuckers who believe life can just crack on without any repurcussions.

Is there any curfew etc I suppose you could just get on the beach and get pissed without having to mask up
The bars on the resort I am staying at shut around midnight. Unsure about local bars. Not seen any restrictions on group sizes. I saw about 40 young Spanish in a group on the beach yesterday. Spain play Italy tonight so all restrictions will be ignored tonight I reckon.

I'd like to see some documentation to prove that I am first...otherwise the adoptions off.
The evidence you have had two jabs and the last jab is at least two weeks before you go on holiday is what you need. Yes mine also says valid till Aug 21. This is on the NHS App. No other App is valid.

is the qr code the 2d barcode for each jab with the one month validity?
You just let them scan it .yes?
No I dont think so. If you download the nhs app you can easily go to your vaccination page and the QR code from there is what you’ll need.it has the dates and batch numbers I think of when you had it.

On a side note the amount of bars and shops that have shut down and do not look like they will open again at least not with their former owners is very sad.
You will all see it when you finally get away.

Yeah the problem with smaller islands like mallorca are the lack of expats to keep them going in the winter months and a lack of tourists. That's usually the case in normal times so imagine the last 18 months have hit them even harder.

I did that and it showed a 2D bar code for each inoculation.

Feel safe does not equal actually safe. Happy to be of help

We’ve just booked a weeks cruise with P&O on Iona, their newest ship from the end of August.. Everybody will be tested prior to embarking and it will do 7 days at sea off the coast of France and round the Channel Islands.. great food, plenty of drink and no quarantine when we get back..

£650 each with an outside cabin with £170 between us of free onboard spending so that’s some meals in the speciality restaurants covered…

looking around the price seems to be a bargain compared to what some are charging for staycations… We love cruises anyway so it was a no brainer

Booking a holiday to Crete this afternoon. I can isolate when I get back - just want a couple of weeks away after my wedding. Anyone been recently?
Been a few times and stayed in Stalis last year which is a nice location a couple of cliks south of Hersonissos. If it's yer bag then it's only around a 35minute walk south into Malia for the club strip and foam parties. Malia is a bit of a young persons resort and more a right of passage for teens on the piss. We stayed there a few years back and the digs at the Illious were spartan but had two balconies a cock shaped swimming pool and smack bang on the strip. A little boisterous but for £145 ten days self catering in May including flights baggage and transfers you really couldn't fault it. Thank's TUI we luv you.
