People have lost loved ones who they couldn't even spend their last hours with.

Some have died alone & lonely in care homes.

Some have been unable to see their nearest & dearest, some of whom have had virtually no human contact for a year.

Some have been seriously ill in hospital with no one there to comfort them.

Some are suffering debilitating long term effects from this awful disease.

Some people have lost their businesses.

Some have lost their livelihoods.

And in this thread we have people crying like babies and saying there could be riots because they won't be able to go on their holiday abroad for a while longer.

I think selfish, entitled wankers is the perfect description for them.

Summer months no,if we use the "summer months" like we do being June,July,August.

Put it this way,we be going in October to Gran Canaria,which I will happily wait for,instead of wasting my time in a dreary gaff over here,with slate grey skies every morning,and wearing a coat at end of June.
 
If its the variants that are stopping people going abroad, you can argue that variants occur anywhere ala Kent. So it doesnt stop them occuring. And secondly variants will continue to occur so does this mean people will never be allowed to travel abroad. If the cases are very low in the country and the destination country and people are vacinated then i think people should be allowed on holiday. The control measures will be much better than last year surely.

The government have briefed the media too many times over the past year prior to announcements, although the press have also written a lot of stuff off their own back which turned out to be BS. Unfortunately this combination makes it difficult to tell which this story is, personally I think it’s the latter.

Maybe the reality will be somewhere in the middle with travel corridors again, ruling out foreign holidays until October at this point doesn’t really make sense to me.

I love my hols in the uk. Equally love them abroad. Variety is the spice of life.

i work hard and my hols in the greek sun are my week to sit and do fuck all and rest my bones. My week in the uk is all about exploring, no rest on that one.

so we cant demonise people just because they desire a change and something different.

i hope to fuck i cam get on that iron bird in aug

If you all think one of the reasons behind the ‘holiday in the uk’ isnt money for the gov then you need to have a think.

remember cameron almost guaranteeing, nigh on promising, he had it off the top weathermen, that the uk summer was gonna be a scorcher so book a uk hol ...

it pissed it down all summer , but he got us spending our brass in blighty tho

Not that easy. She’s not allowed to leave the UK and our borders are closed in this part of Austria. She booked a flight just before Xmas and then the borders were closed. All flights cancelled
