Covid and travel discussion

Flying to Portugal on saturday and using the Chronomics rapid flow. My arse is now twitching.

Did you show Jet 2 the rules that prove antigen is fine?
Hope all goes well fella, this though is exactly why we're doing fuck all abroad this year much as I'd love to see friends at Rhodes.

I've got the rules printed off ready to argue the toss if needed. I don't actually think its that complicated and everyone whos been (I went to the final myself aswell) have said its a doddle. The issue it seems is people working for the airlines not understanding the different rules for each country (and I understand that because they must check in different destinations every 20 minutes or whatever) but surely a quick google search and all should be ok!

Thanks and hope you get to Rhodes soon

Yes, but they wouldn't have it and arguing at half 4 in the morning wasn't an option. I will when we get back though. I think you're better off phoning them to check I wouldn't want anyone to go through that.

Just leaving Porto station and heading back into Douro valley for a few more days of wine and port guzzling - I find people up north more tight on the tests than in the Algarve in hotels etc

sttingly recommend silver cost as well to those looking for an alternative to Algarve, stunning beaches but great surf spots as well and less tourists. Ericeira region north of Lisbon area near Cascais is great

At least you have a vaccine card mate. Fat boy Ford hasn't give us one yet.
Haha well, we I have the QR code, applied for card but may take a few weeks.

If you are flying into Manchester, it looks like you can do your day 2 test right at the airport. I think it was something like 55 pounds. What airline are you flying? Aerlingus has some very good info on their website. I assume others do as well. Cheers.

Gatwick, via Westjet. That's a good idea, I'll look into that option.

where’s the best place(cheapest) to get these day 2 return tests from? are They actually needed? Or can you just stay in for 10 days when you return instead?

Neighbour thinks she's going germany without vaccination..told her germany requires full vaccination to travel from uk..she's not having it
