COVID Watch

Speaking

I had a chat with a Liverpool fan at work and he thinks they are in that end as it the most modern stand with modern facilities. The other stands don't have toilets in all levels so there would be people mingling too much. I was ribbing him on why they chose to have everyone in the Kop when other teams have people spread out. I thought it was so they kept the massive adverts on the seating.
Makes me sick that these cunts are allowed to watch their team. They should be the last fanbase allowed to attend with their dark history

I don't buy into this role model nonsense but I do think he's a knobhead who didn't give a shit about covid.

Prolly been shagging some hookers again and given it to his colleagues.
He could have just caught a massively contagious virus the same way most people have caught this massively contagious virus. By being around someone who had it?

Get well soon lads. We get frustrated from time to time but given the big picture the main thing is that everyone remains safe. I think Walker has been one of our best players this year but we will miss Gabby more. Merry Xmas blues, keep the faith

I was speaking to a Newcastle fan at work and he was saying that Steve Bruce has stated that Newcastle have been hit quite badly by covid and a couple of players have had it bad. Allan S-M being one of them and he has been out of the side for a fair few games. Talk of long covid symptoms in the press.

The fact that high performance athletes can be debilitated to the extent of not being able to walk around for an hour some weeks after contracting shows how dangerously unpredictable this virus can be for some. That's what's happened to one Toon player. Scary stuff.

Not jumping to anything but does the club do it’s own testing or is it an independent body on behalf of the league,if you had to possibly pick two players you really wouldn’t want to miss games you would have both g.jesus and Walker up there,g.jesus for his pressing and Walker obviously for his recovery in defence on counter attacks ..

Just out of curiosity, if both players were around the first team on Tuesday, and since tested positive would it not be a risk having the rest of the squad playing today?

sure others have it? As theyve clearly been in contact with them both.

What do you think they were doing in London?

They get the team coach there and back. Possibly not even staying overnight.

You reckon they’ve been legging it around Regents St licking peoples faces?
They've people in the stands throwing balls back, there will be other staff in and around the stadium.

We normally fly to London games, so they will come into contact with airport staff, but it could have been anywhere.

Don't know who our staff are that have tested positive, but I'm sure they have normal lives away from the squad, and relatives can and will be out and about.

The people throwing back are part of the testing and sanitise the balls before they are placed on the ball holders The squad and staff do not have contact with the airport staff and go straight through the airport using the VIP terminal, as far as I’m aware the cabin crew are also tested and the aircraft sanitised Its more likely that an individual picked up the virus during their everyday lives
