Wonder if they got the new more contagious variant of covid from London? There is clearly a risk of spreading the new virus to the northwest by travelling to and from a tier 4 area. I expect the virus to esculate thoughout the country now as a result.

Walker, yes. Stick Cancelo over there, and put Mendy (if fit) at LB. Or Zinchenko (shudder). Jesus is a bigger blow. Aguero can't play the hectic schedule we have coming up in the next fortnight. And Pep won't play Delap. Sterling isn't an out and out striker. Ditto Mahrez.We can cope.

At the minute probably our 2 most important players.
Walker has been player of the season so far for me.
And Gabby, well we only have him as recognised striker and with a half fit Aguero coming back.
At the worst possible time as well.!!
There should have been a rule at the start of the season that if 2 or more players contract it at the same time along with any backroom staff then games should be postponed. As its City I'm sure the powers that be won't give 2 hoots. This is a huge dent in our title ambitions.

shouldn’t even be playing really while it’s running rife. Football really isn’t that important compared to putting lives at risk.

The problem is that having followed the American sports struggling with covid its not uncommon for 2 positives to turn into 7 or 8 by the time the next round of tests are done. The fact it is 2 players and 2 staff suggests they got it at the club and everyone has been exposed.
We will be really lucky if it is just those 2 players.
Sods law that this would happen right in the middle of the busiest and arguably most important run of games in the season as well. Newcastle, Everton, Chelsea and United all in the next 11 days.
