It's not.

I broke my iPad 2 screen last week and had an appointment at the "Genius Bar" on Tuesday, They basically sold me a new one for £199, no muss no fuss.

Are they not reconditioned ones? At least thats what I've been told..

Nope, it's a brand new one.

When my iPhone 4 stopped working a few years ago, I was given a re-conditioned one from apple as a replacement.. I mean it looked like fucking new and came in a sealed box with all the cables etc, but apparently it was a reconditioned one all the same

Where do you live?

There's a little shop on Cross Street in Altrincham next to a music shop (can't remember it's name); opposite Greenalgh's Bakery; near Totties.

They'll fix the screen and put a screen protector on it. It'll cost you about £40.

thats the price for the iphone 4 & 4s mate....the iphone 5 screen is a different set up to the iphone 4 & 4s

Sorry to bring it up again, but been out and about and everyone quoting £240+, and saying just go to Apple who'll replace it for about £180. But been looking at these,

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-Black-Front-Screen-Cover-Glass-Lens-Tools-for-iPhone-5-5G-LQGS116-/380578202554?pt=UK_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item589c3a83ba" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-B ... 589c3a83ba</a>

Don't fancy doing it myself, so if I got it wuld get someone else to do it. Anyone see any problems in doing it this way?

Just dropped my mug on my iPhone like a tit, and the screen has cracked. Don't have any insurance or out.

Anyone know of anywhere to get it sorted cheap? Can get around Manchester but ideally town/east manchester.

Google is useless, all American stuff.

Cheers lads/lasses!

These people are red hot but still expensive......I used them to repair a blackberry and the quality / service was excellent

On the subject of iPhones

Where's the best deal for one? Not arsed if it's a 4, 4s or 5 as it's a prezzie for one of the kids
Preferably buy the phone + a lesser monthly contract, rather than the free phone and £50 pcm contract
